CHICAGO, Illinois (Atour) - "Unheard Voices: Assyrian Human Rights in the Middle East Seminar", sponsored by the Assyrian Academic Society and Center for Middle Eastern Studies, North Park University.

Saturday October 3rd, 1998

Assyrians in the Middle East have been persecuted on the basis of their ethnicity, language, culture, religion, and geographical origin. Unfortunately, Assyrian human rights have received too little attention by international human rights organizations. This seminar is an effort to draw the attention of international human rights organizations to the plight of the Assyrians of the Middle East and to introduce those organizations to the Assyrian community in the Diaspora.
