Mr. Sam Darmo —  How Did We Get Here?  (1840-1940, Iraq, Lebanon, Iran and Turkey)

  • Kurdish warlord Badr Khan Persecution against — Church of the East only (over 10,000 killed)
  • 1860 Druze-Maronite Conflict (20,000 Christian lost their life) — 1896 Diyarbakir Assyrian Massacre
  • 1914-1920 Armenian, Assyrian, Greek Genocide (1.7 million people lost their lives) 
  • 1933 Assyrian Massacre in Northern Iraq, more than 20 Assyrian Towns and Villages were destroyed.
  • 1940 The British/Arab conflict where the Assyrians fought on the side of the English.

Sam Darmo was born on 1955 in Baghdad, Iraq, he relocated to the United States in 1978 after his graduation from the Academy of Science in Baghdad. Darmo, is an Assyrian archivist, activist, and an Assyrian TV and radio personality. He served as a spokesman for the Assyrian Democratic Movement “Member of the Iraq Opposition recognized by the United States according to the Iraqi Liberation Act of 1998” in Arizona from 2002-2004.


Artin (Art) Knadjian — Two Nations — Assyrians and Armenians suffering for their Christian Faith at the hands of the same enemy.

Art will reflect on personal stories, eyewitness accounts and survival from the Christian persecution.

Artin Knadjian was born in Cairo, Egypt and immigrated to Montreal, Canada as a child. He grew up in Montreal and attended McGill University, graduating as an architect. Artin has been involved over many years with the plight of the Armenian and Assyrian people.

August 15 — Latest Events Pertaining to Martyrdom Caused by ISIS — Dr. Malak Malak will give an update on the Slaughter of Coptic Christians in Libya, and updates of any successes in Egypt to eradicate the Muslim Brotherhood, and ISIS, from the Sinai Peninsula. His travels the last 2 months will enlighten the audience about the current crisis’s facing Egypt.

August 15 — Jeff Gardner — Arming the Minority Christians in Syria and Iraq. Jeff will describe the work his groups are doing in these countries.

This force, called the Nineveh Plain Protection Units (NPU), will be composed mainly of Assyrians who have already volunteered to fight ISIS.

Thanks to the work of the Assyrian Democratic Movement in Iraq, this force is already being organized, trained and equipped.

www.RestoreNinevehNow.org and www.PictureChristians.org are just two of the organizations that he is working through to help the persecuted minorities and bring the truth out about the Middle East.
