School board recognizes genocide
NORTHEAST GLENDALE -- Members of the Glendale Unified School District Board of Education reaffirmed their commitment to the teaching of tolerance and understanding in district schools.
As the anniversary of the Armenian genocide approaches, board President Chuck Sambar read a statement acknowledging the genocide, the Holocaust and other atrocities that have occurred throughout history.
The history of the Armenian genocide has been encompassed as part of
the curriculum in Glendale Unified Schools.
