Isfahan, April 27, IRNA -- The Armenians' MP for Isfahan and the South
Georgic Abramian said here Thursday night that "the Armenians'
genocide by Turkey in 1936 was injustice to the Armenians and equally
to the whole world." At a ceremony held in commemoration of the
enocide at Ararat Sports Club Thursday night, he said Armenians
genocide by Turkey is "unforgettable and unforgivable." He said that
it is good to see that several circles in the world have condemned
these inhuman murders and this has been an upward trend.
"In Iran, too, this condemnation is expressed by demonstrations
with a political content during the past 25 years," he declared.
He said that he was optimistic that the wave that has risen for
condemning the genocide of the Armenians would take the whole world.
Abramian noted that the Armenians have no intention to avenge
but believe that this genocide is a crime committed against the
hole world and its occurrence again must be prevented.
He said that the Turkish government denies the genocide and
claims the killings have not been racially motivated.
He said once the memoirs and personal accounts of eyewitness to that
genocide have been collected and published it would prove the role of
the Turkish government in that genocide.
