#0, Assyrian Convention: LIVE?

There have been many requests (see sample below) for "LIVE" audio and video streaming of the conferences in the https://www.assyrianconvention.org">Assyrian American National Convention in San, Jose.Technically, this can be accomplished and we have the resources on the Atour server to accomodate "LIVE" streaming. In fact, we have successfully tested a "LIVE" audio feed to simulate streaming from the hotel conference locations. The following file is actually a CD recording, however, it was "LIVE" streamed to the server from a remote location. The test was done only in audio, instead of audio/video, to conserve bandwidth expenses.

The Problems
1. RealServer Audio/Video installed on the Atour Server is limited to 20 simultaneous users. Which means, only 20 people can view the file at the same time.2. A 60-user license of RealServer enables 60 people to view the file, it costs $2,000+.
3. If we did have a 60-user license of the software, than we would have to consider the amount of bandwidth it would cost to send "LIVE" streams to those 60 users. Expected costs of streaming a conference presentation to viewers ranges from $600 to $2000, depending on the size of the stream or length of time.
As you can see, these are some of the issues involved in systems development. Indeed, we do have the technical abilities to accomplish these initiatives (as evidenced by the audio file previously mentioned above). However, the costs involved are much greater than our limited budget. If there is a considerable amount of investment to finance these proven efforts on our server, "LIVE" streaming of important events from the convention can be accomplished.

last year I raised an idea as a request
to Assyrian websites to involve in
trasmitting the convention live on air
through internet and to make it
possible to those who couldn't be there
to discuss matters by lively chatting.
Mr. firas Jatto was the first one who
replied and had declared that already (at that time) was preparing to do that
but it seems he faced some technical
difficulties came out from where the
convention located specifically from
the hotel itself.
Now did you (webmasters) are thinking
seriously to do it this year?
