A Traitor to the Nation is more Dangerous than its EnemyPosted: Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 06:03 AM UT “The betraying church leaders and political parties have divided our nation and stripped it of dignity.” The Betrayal of Our NationThe betraying church leaders and political parties have divided our nation and stripped it of dignity. Rejecting Corruption and SubmissionWe must stop following corrupt parties that negotiate with the enemy to deceive the Assyrian people, and reject the churches that deliberately distort religion, twisting it into a tool of weakness and submission to silence the people and prevent them from defending their rights, and seek to appease the occupying Kurds and Arabs. Their only goal is to keep us weak, voiceless, and under their control — all to serve their own interests. Such betrayal must not go unpunished. Collaboration With the EnemyOver the past decades and even today, many Assyrian church and political leaders have openly collaborated with occupying powers or foreign agendas. They have signed agreements, endorsed policies, or promoted ideologies that have weakened our claim to the Assyrian homeland, distorted our identity, and fragmented our people. A Threat to Our ExistenceThe continued submission of the Assyrian people to corrupt institutions, parties, and churches has turned them into tools in the hands of traitors, serving the interests of both the enemy and the betrayers. This submission poses a serious threat to the very existence of the Assyrian nation — both its present and its future. By submitting to them, we forfeit our land and condemn our future and the future of our generations to loss. They have betrayed the land, the truth, and the language, and by trusting them, we have seen nothing but decline. A Call to ActionThe awakening of the Assyrian people is not just a hope — it is a call to action. We must rise — men and women, from both the homeland and the diaspora — and lead a new national movement by ourselves. It must begin with open councils, where no one is afraid to speak, to listen, and to stand together for what unites us. We must build institutions that truly represent us, so we can reclaim our future and our right to Assyrian self-determination. Our Vision: A Free Assyrian HomelandOur struggle is for justice, dignity, sovereignty, and the reclamation of our occupied land — for the rebuilding of the Assyrian homeland. A homeland where we live free and secure, where Assyrians are not forced to speak the occupier’s language, where our fate isn't controlled, where we aren't killed, and where the occupier’s customs aren't imposed upon us. The Spirit of ResistanceA homeland protected not only by borders, but by the spirit of Assyrian resistance — a spirit as unshakable as the walls of Nineveh. The walls of Nineveh didn't defend a city alone, they stood as a symbol of Assyrian strength and will. Today, the "Walls of Nineveh" call upon Assyrians to build new ones — not of stone, but of Unity, Awareness, and Unwavering Determination — the very qualities that once distinguished our ancestors. Strength Against Traitors and EnemiesWe must be stronger and fiercer than both the traitors and the enemy if we truly wish to reclaim our homeland, Assyria. If we continue to defend it in the same naïve way, we are handing over our land to the enemy as a gift. Never ForgetRights can only be reclaimed by force.
