Head of Armenian consumer group calls for boycott of Turkish goods

Yerevan, 22 January: Turkish-made goods enter Armenia via private channels and they do not always meet state standards, Arsen Kazaryan, chairman of the Armenian union of consumers he is also chairman of the Armenian-Turkish economic commission , told a press conference today. He called on the country's general public to boycott Turkish goods.

According to Kazaryan, Armenia will in this way respond to the Turkish authorities' calls for a boycott of French goods in response to the French parliament's decision to recognize the genocide of Armenians in Ottoman Turkey in 1915-23.
