September 14 Is Declared Memorial Day For The Victims Of The Greek Genocide In Asia Minor
September 14 was declared to be annual Memorial Day for the victims of the
Greek genocide in Asia Minor committed by the Turkish state in 1922.
The decision is included in a presidential decree that was prepared by
culture minister Evangelos Venizelos and has been forwarded to the
president of the republic to be signed.
