Armenia, USA discuss normalization of Yerevan-Ankara relations Yerevan, US Deputy Commander-in-Chief, US Forces in Europe, Carlton Fulford held talks with Armenian leaders on Thursday [22 March] on the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey. Summing up the results of his two-day visit to Yerevan, the US general said that Turkey was an US partner. America has had long-term effective cooperation with Turkey, he added. Fulford said that he and Armenian leaders had discussed how to convince Turkey to start talks with Armenia in order to put an end to conflicts and begin cooperation. He said the United States would continue contacts with Turkish and Armenian leaders in order to find solutions and settle disagreements, the general said.
