Massis Araradian, the quintessential activist, is the renowned Armenian artist, cartoonist, illustrator, typographer, sculpture, writer and teacher. As his first name symbolizes — Massis means the summits of the two great mountains [Massis Summits] in the Armenian land of Ararat — he has been a towering figure in the political struggles of Armenia, boldly stating, “Soldiers fight Turks with their guns, I fight with my pencil." Massis has drawn cartoons since the early years of his youth and continues to influence the world's conscience to bring genocide awareness and justice. Cartoon galleries are preserved and presented herewith the permission of the artist, Mr. Massis Araradian. Copyright © 2012, Massis Araradian. All rights reserved. |
