האשורים הינם כת נוצרית בעיראק ובעקבות החלטת מועצת המדינות (חבר הלאומים) נותרה ללא אדמה וללא הכרה, אי לכך ובהתאם לזאת נוצרו התנגשויות אלימות בינם לבין הממשל הבריטי בעיראק ולאחר מכן עם הממשל העיראקי שקם לאחר עזיבת הבריטים. החומר כולל קטעי עתונות מהעיתונים "Times" ו"אל-איאם" (ערבית/אנגלית).

Assyrians are a Christian denomination in Iraq and following the decision of the Council of Nations (the League of Nations) remained without land and recognition, and therefore violent clashes were formed between them and the British administration in Iraq and later with the Iraqi government that arose after the British left.
