THANK FRANCE FOR RECOGNIZING THE ARMENIAN VICTIMS OF GENOCIDE & ASK THEM TO ALSO OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZE THE ASSYRIAN & GREEK VICTIMS.

Status:

The French government recently recognised the Armenian Genocide. Besides thanking the French government for affirming the truth, it is important that the Assyrian and Hellenic groups and individuals also contact the French government and request that they are also included in the very same Genocide.

Dear French Parliamentary member,

This e-mail is in regard to your recent recognition of the Armenian Genocide at the start of the 20th century.

I would sincerely like to thank you for your brave and honest vote for truth in officially recognising the Armenian Genocide, which comes after the recent recognition of the very same genocide by the European Parliament. This is a very positive step forward for all the people of Europe, especially the people of Turkey.

I would like to ask that you also not forget the Genocide of the Assyrian and Greek people of WW1, who were also murdered along with the Armenians.

Besides the 1,500,000 Armenians slaughtered, the Assyrians, lost over 750,000 people, a total three-quarters of their population, in the genocide committed by the Young Turks, whilst the Greeks lost over 500,000 people.

At the start of the 21st century we request your assistance on two key points.

1. We ask you to once again show your commitment to truth and justice in officially recognising the Genocide of the Assyrians and Greeks during WW1.
2. We also request that you ensure that Turkey meets its human rights obligations before being allowed entry into the EU. Two recent cases will illustrate the Turkish government's total disregard for the EU's prerequisites of accession.

(a). The Turkish government will on February 22 charge Father Yusuf Akbulut for affirming the very same Genocide that you have officially recognised.

(b). Meanwhile, the Turkish government of Cyprus has also recently illegally arrested Panicos Tzukhiamis in Turkish occupied Cyprus.

In requesting that France and Turkey acknowledge the Assyrian and Greek Genocide, we hope to ensure that the tragedies of the past are not visited upon the descendants of Turkey's victims.

In calling for Turkey to respect the human rights of all of its citizens, we hope to emphasize that Turkey should earn the right to enter the EU, as a member of the civilized world.
